The possibilities.

Before I was suddenly thrust into veganism, I had spent years waiting and looking for the absolute *perfect* leather jacket. Then the same week that I became "aware" was when I finally found that leather jacket. I painfully let it slip away, and, feeling quite glum, began thinking of alternatives.

Shopbop.com

Certainly denim isn't the only solution, but I definitely want something to load all my band patches onto. I can just see it now... hotta. Maybe I'll keep my eyes open for something with.. I dunno, a more justifiable price.

Shoez.

I think I kinda love these. By CHEAPO. Speaking of cheapo, I just got some black canvas shoes from Wal*Mart for $5!

I'm probably a total failure to everyone everywhere for posting something that's practically disappeared from the market, but I kinda love these shoes. They're like.. satin coated with vinyl. More interesting than the usual plastic shoe anyway. Revolve still has some as of right this second. By Due Farina.

"Watcha got in there?"

I look at American Apparel today and see that they have some black garbage bags for sale. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't totally tempted to buy one. I must now retreat to consider...

As a side note, I think I'm going to get that circle scarf in black. Though the olive looks nice too.

Over-the-Shoulder

Etsy has absolutely no shortage of handbags up for sale. And the good thing is, hardly any of them are made of leather. The downside however is there's a hell of a lot to wade through. I spent quite a while doing just that last night and I plan to unload what I've discovered in the posts to come.

The cost of some of these basic bags have me thinking twice, but these bags by Pravina seem pretty sturdy and retain a nice shape even while on.

I like this one, made by Moop. It's a gigantic size also. They boast of the great many things you can stuff into a single bag.

Scabby Robot has this thing called a 'wedge tote'. Some have leather straps, and the second one pictured here is actually made of suede, so keep your eyes open. Maybe one could pester them for a special request.

Alright. By no means is that the end of it, I still have plenty more to gush about and debate over next time.

The Ninja Way

It's probably now that I should express my eternal gratitude for the creation of my unofficially dubbed 'Nina Boot'. (Officially titled the Toms Wrap Boot.) I'm almost considering getting another pair, because sadly, these things just won't last forever.

I make no secret of the fact that my favorite color is black, and so of course I have these in black. I find them to be quite well suited to a pair of black stockings in the fall. They're just so damn elusive and cool.

Merzbird

Furthering my belief that menswear is pretty cool, here we have Masami Akita, the guy behind Merzbow, sporting some [presumably] vegan menswear of his own.

Look, this guy has roosters and pigs! The thought of getting a pig crossed my mind at one point... but that was about it.

Check out his blog on www.merzbow.net for pics of tasty vegan dishes and other 'interesting' topics written about in Japanese.

Getting Warmer

Another option I've been considering, by way of Urban Outfitters. One complaint I've somehow developed is that there are only 3 pockets in front. I just don't know how I feel about having one bare boob.
